Lufthansa Cargo decreases Airfreight Surcharge to 0.45 USD per kg
The sum of cost components in our airfreight surcharge has decreased in the past weeks. Consequently, Lufthansa Cargo is decreasing its Airfreight Surcharge, effective May 29, 2023, from 0.50 to 0.45 USD per kg chargeable freight weight. Please note, the AWB issue date, not the flight date, determines the applicable Airfreight Surcharge.
Carriers increase blank sailings as demand for Asia – US service drops

Imports are at a 2 year low, and retailers are not placing new orders as inventories remain high. Expect delays in deliveries of your imports as ocean carriers cancel sailings to try to match decreasing demand.
