POWER OF ATTORNEY
Below are instructions and links to the LHCB Customs Powers of Attorney. If you are a
U.S. company/resident please choose the
resident POA. Otherwise, please choose
the nonresident POA.
CARGO INSURANCE
Since truck, air, and ocean carriers have a very limited coverage and liability, we strongly recommend that all customers carry cargo insurance on all shipments. We are pleased to offer an excellent, low-cost policy. To accept or decline coverage please complete our insurance authorization form.
CREDIT AGREEMENT
If your company would like to set up credit
with us, please complete our credit agreement
form.
LACEY ACT
The Lacey Act Declaration, otherwise known as PPQ Form 505, is required by law for certain importers of wood products to be submitted to the USDA. The importer should complete items 13 — 18, sign and date page 1.
Completed form can be sent via fax to 404-361-1314 or email to SandyC@Lhcb.com
IMPORTER SECURITY FILING
Importer Security Filing, also known as “10+2”, is a U.S. Customs and Border protection regulation mandated for U.S. bound and transit ocean cargo. ISF is required to be filed 24 hours prior to loading from last origin port. Failure to comply could result in monetary penalties, increased inspections and delay of cargo. LHCB suggests that ISF be filed 72 hours in advance and asks that importers to obtain required data from their shippers as soon as possible.
